Over the weekend, Porsche and Audi fought it out all night in the annual 24 Hours of Le Mans. Porsche would claim victory with the top two spots of the podium going to Porsche teams. I was rooting for them, as I’m admittedly more of a Porsche fan than an Audi fan, and Audi has been the dominant team to beat for the past few years. I had the race streaming on the tablet in the garage on Saturday, while I fought with replacing 20-year old Miata trim, with pieces from a slightly newer example. More on that later. This race marks the 83rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and for Porsche it is the first outright win since 1998, in the 919 Hybrid Le Mans Prototype, a car which was just introduced last year.
